1. Can anyone
attend the Pro Tour Qualifiers? Yes, the Pro Tour Qualifier is
open to all Magic players. Each 2-Headed Giant team must consist of two
(2) players. 2. Is there an age limit to attend the tournament? No, there is no age limit to
play in the Pro Tour Qualifier. We have players as young as 6 and as old
as 70 play in our Magic events. 3. Do I have to bring anything to the tournament? The Pro Tour Qualifier for San Diego is a sealed deck event. This means that your entry fee includes all of the cards you will play with during the event. You do not have to bring any cards, unless you want to trade. It is recommended that you bring pen & paper to the show to keep score. NOTE: Keep an eye on your
personal belongings at all times during the show. You don't want someone
else to take your cards. 4. What time do I have to be there? Doors open at 9am and you must
register for the tournament between 9am and 9:45am. The tournament will
start at 10am at which time cards will be given out. 5. What is a DCI card and how do I get one? The DCI is the rating system
that Wizards of the Coast (maker of Magic cards) uses to track how well
you do in tournaments. If you have never played in a DCI event, you can
sign up for free at any Pro Tour Qualifier. If you have a DCI number,
but forgot it, we can look it up for you at the event. A booster draft is another type
of tournament at the pre-release. They are limited to 8 players. Each
player receives 3 booster packs to play. Prizes are awarded to the top 2
players. 7. What time does the Pro Tour Qualifier end? It depends on how well you do.
Most Pro Tour Qualifier events have between 6-8 rounds, and each round
lasts 1 hour. If you are in the top 4 teams, the event will continue until a
winner is declared.
