Doors open at 9am, event starts at 10am.

Format:

This event is open to all Magic players who live or go to school in the state.

The format for all 2008 Standard Championships will be Standard Constructed. The main event will run swiss-style with the number of rounds based on attendance. The top 8 players after the final Swiss round will advance to the top 8 single-elimination finals. For more information on the format, click HERE

Constructed decks must contain a minimum of sixty cards. There is no maximum deck size; however, you must be able to shuffle your deck with no assistance. If a player wishes to use a sideboard, it must contain exactly fifteen cards.

With the exception of basic land cards, a player’s combined deck and sideboard may not contain more than four of any individual card, counted by its English card title equivalent. All cards named Plains, Island, Swamp, Mountain, and Forest are basic.

The following card sets are permitted in Standard tournaments:
-10th Edition
-Lorwyn
-Morningtide
-Shadowmoor
-Eventide
-Shards of Alara

$25 - All participants must live in the state

Players are strongly recommended to bring a pen, paper, and counters.

All players are allowed to trade cards at any Gray Matter event. However, anyone attending the event who buys cards from or sells cards to other players will be asked to leave the event immediately.
